Ceiling Fan Installation FAQs
Can you install a ceiling fan where there’s currently just a light?
Yes. If the existing ceiling box is fan-rated, we can mount the fan directly. If not, we’ll replace the box with a fan-rated one. We can also add a wall switch if the fan needs separate control from the light.
Do I need a separate switch for the fan and light?
Most ceiling fans come with a remote or can be controlled via a smart switch. If you want separate wall switches for the fan and light kit, we can wire it that way during installation.
How long does ceiling fan installation take?
Most single-fan installations take 1–2 hours. Installing in a room with no existing ceiling box or requiring new wiring takes a bit longer.
Can you install fans on high or vaulted ceilings?
Yes. We have the equipment to safely install fans on high ceilings and carry downrod extensions for vaulted ceiling applications.
